Sheikh Hassanein Makhlouf

Sheikh Hassanein Makhlouf - may God have mercy on him - is one of the great scholars of Al-Azhar. He was born in Cairo in Ramadan 1307 AH corresponding to May 1890. His father pledged him to education, so he memorized the Qur’an at the age of ten, then joined Al-Azhar and learned from its senior sheikhs. After that, he joined the Shari’a Judiciary School, which only accepted proficient students after the Asir exam, and he graduated after four years with the universality of the Judicial School in the year (1332 AH / 1914 AD).

Shaykh Ahmad Muhammad Ridhwan

The knower of Allah, Shaykh Ahmad Muhammad Ridhwan al-Jaylani al-Hasani was born in 1313 AH in Qena, a city in Upper Egypt. He memorized the Quran at a young age and was known for his frequent remembrance of Allah and dedication to worship. He studied Islamic sciences under various shaykhs.

Shaykh Ahmed Taha Rayyan

Shaykh Ahmed Taha Rayyan was born in Luxor, Egypt in 1357 AH / 1939. He grew up in a blessed and pious household that was distinguished for its knowledge and righteousness. He memorized the Quran, completed his primary and secondary education, and was raised on the teachings of Sufism and faith in the gatherings of Shaykh Muhammad Zaki Ibrahim and Shaykh Abdal Halim Mahmud.

Shaykh Muhammad Zaki Ibrahim

Shaykh Muhammad Zaki Ibrahim was a renowned faqih and muhaddith (a scholar of Islamic jurisprudence and hadith), and an Imam at Al-Azhar Mosque. "Muhammad" was his name, "Zaki Ad-Din" was his title, and "Abul Barakat" was his agnomen (kunya). He was a Husayni Sharif, descended from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) on both his mother's and father's side.

Shaykh Salih bin Muhammad al-Ja'fari

Shaykh Salih bin Muhammad Salih bin Muhammad Rifa'i al-Ja'fari as-Saadiqi al-Husayni, may Allah have mercy on him, was a descendant of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He was born in Dongola, a town in northern Sudan, in 1328 AH / 1910. He memorized the Quran and then traveled to Egypt to seek knowledge at Al-Azhar Mosque, where he studied under its shaykhs such as Shaykh Muhammad Bakhit al-Muti'i,

Shaykh Muhammad Metwally Al-Sha'rawi

Shaykh Muhammad Metwally Al-Sha'rawi was born in 1329 AH in the village of Daqados, Mit Ghamr district, Daqahlia governorate, Egypt. He memorized the Holy Quran at the age of 11 in his village, and received his initial education at the Azhari Institute of Zagazig, where he completed his primary and secondary education before joining the Faculty of Arabic Language.

Shaykh Muhammad Bakheet al-Muti'i

Shaykh Shams ad-Din Muhammad ibn Bakheet bin Husayn al-Muti'i, may Allah have mercy on him, was born on the 10th of Muharram in 1271 AH / 1856 in the town of al-Muti'ah, Asyut governorate.

Shaykh Abdul Halim Mahmoud

Sheikh Abdul Halim Mahmoud was born in the village of Abu Ahmed, on the outskirts of the city of Belbeis, in the Sharkia Governorate, on (2 Jumada al-Awwal in the year 1328 AH = May 12, 1910 AD).
