Shaykh Muhammad Zaki Ibrahim

Shaykh Muhammad Zaki Ibrahim was a renowned faqih and muhaddith (a scholar of Islamic jurisprudence and hadith), and an Imam at Al-Azhar Mosque. "Muhammad" was his name, "Zaki Ad-Din" was his title, and "Abul Barakat" was his agnomen (kunya). He was a Husayni Sharif, descended from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) on both his mother's and father's side. He was born in Cairo in 1324 AH and had a righteous upbringing. He memorized the Quran at a young age and completed his education at Al-Azhar, where he graduated. He then went on to teach and write books. Allah benefitted people through him. He passed away in Cairo on the 16th of Jumada Al-Akhirah, 1419 AH.
