He - may Allah have mercy on him - was born in the city of Tarim, Hadhramaut in 1358 AH. He grew up in a house of knowledge and faith, taking knowledge from his father and grandfather, and the senior scholars of Tarim in his time. In 1386 AH, he traveled to the Two Holy Sanctuaries to perform the sacred rites and met scholars there including: Shaykh Muhammad Al-Arabi At-Tabbani, Sayyid Alawi bin Abbas Al-Maliki, Sayyid Muhammad Amin Kutbi, Sheikh Hasan bin Muhammad Mashat, and others. He made commendable efforts curating, organizing, and preserving precious manuscripts and ensuring their accessibility in the library of the Tarim Jami’ Mosque. He passed away in 1441 AH.
