Sheikh Muhammad bin Zakariya Al-Bukhari

Sheikh Muhammad bin Zakariya al-Marghilani al-Bukhari - may God have mercy on him - was born in Margilan, in the country of Bukhara in the year 1328 AH. He began seeking knowledge in his town when he was young, and when the Russians entered his country, he emigrated with his righteous mother on a arduous journey to Medina to escape from them. He received knowledge at the hands of a number of sheikhs, the most prominent of whom are: Al-Sayyid Alawi bin Abbas Al-Maliki , and Sheikh Muhammad Hassan Mashat , and others, as he accompanied many scholars in his time, and he used to host them in his house in Medina, and among his companions: Sheikh Omar Al-Malahifji , and Al-Sayyid Ibrahim Al-Khalifa Al-Ahsa’i - may their mercy be upon them God - He was known for his humility and his eagerness to follow the Sunnah, perform supererogatory rituals, and keep the rituals. On Sunday, Rabi` al-Awwal 1, 1426 AH, he was buried in al-Baqi'.
