The scholar Muhammad al-Arabi ibn al-Tabbani - may God have mercy on him - was born in Algeria in 1315 AH and began receiving knowledge at a young age, so he completed memorizing the Qur’an at the age of twelve, and sat with the sheikhs and benefited from them, and narrated on their behalf with an authorization, among them: Sheikh M. Hamad Bakhit Al-Muti’i - may God have mercy on him - He also traveled in search of knowledge to Tunisia, Medina, Damascus and Mecca. In the year 1338 AH, he was appointed as a teacher at Al-Falah School in Makkah, and he had lessons in the Grand Mosque in Mecca, so many students graduated from his hands, after which they became lamps that illuminate the courtyards of the sanctuary, and among the most prominent of his students: the scholar Abdel Fattah Abu Ghuddah, and Mr. Muhammad Amin Al-Kutbi , and Mr. Muhammad bin Alawi Al-Maliki - may God have mercy on them all - have many useful works. He died in Makkah Al-Mukarramah in the month of Safar of the year 1390 AH, corresponding to April 1970 AD.
