He -may Allah have mercy on him- was born in the town of Tokat in northern Turkey around the year 1929 (1347 Hijri). He was raised in a virtuous home, and under strenuous circumstances, his father ensured his memorization of the Qur'an at a time when the instruction of Qur'anic studies and Sharia law was prohibited. He studied in the province of Merzifon and then moved to Istanbul to further study Hadith and religious sciences. In 1950, he traveled to Egypt to seek knowledge from Al-Azhar University, and there he met some scholars from his country, including his teacher (Ali Haydar Efendi) who spurred him on until he graduated from Al-Azhar. He then returned to Turkey to disseminate the religious sciences and Hadith in his country, especially in the Fatih Mosque. He passed away affected by the Coronavirus in February 2021 / 1442 AH.
