He is the one who knows God, Sheikh Abd al-Baqi al-Mukashifi al-Qadri (1867 AD - 1960 AD), one of the most prominent figures of Sufism in the Islamic world and Sudan. So his father, Hajj Omar, welcomed him and rejoiced with him with great joy, and he called the call to prayer and greeted him, kissing his hand. It was narrated that he said in front of a group of people, “Welcome to the master of his father.” Complete conformity with him was his fame and the fame of his children and followers after him. Good sitting, nice courtesy, if he spoke he was honest, and if he promised he was fulfilled, and he was pleased with him. That he used to address those who came to him from all over the country, each according to his dialect before the newcomer began to speak, and if we wanted to limit his dignities, the article would be narrow about them.At the end of the mosque there is a deep and wide excavation, which Al-Makashafi dug with his own hand in 1927 with the elite of his disciples and students for the purpose of collecting rain water in it for irrigation. He died in the village of Al-Shakiniba on the tenth day of Dhul-Hijjah in the year 1380 AH - 1960, for almost ninety-seven years, which he spent in obedience, guidance, teaching and benefiting us with it.
