Sayyid Ibrahim Aal Khalifah Al-Ahsai

Sayyid Ibrahim Al-Khalifah Al-Hasani Al-Ahsai (may Allah have mercy on him) was born in Al-Kut region in 1376 AH. He received a good scholarly upbringing, memorized the Quran at an early age, and acquired knowledge from the shaykhs. He was a jurist in the Shafi'i school and had a high aspiration to travel to meet scholars, which led him to having many shaykhs, including Shaykh Hasan bin Muhammad Al-Mashat. He received permission in the Qadiriyya path from the knower of Allah in Madinah Shaykh Dhiya ad-Din Ahmad al-Qadiri al-Rawi, who entrusted him with being his successor. He traveled extensively for both knowledge and dawah, covering the East and the West. During his final journey, he settled in Turkey and taught the six major books of Hadith and the Muwatta of Malik. He was kind to his students and compassionate towards people, especially the needy. He passed away on Friday, 1 Dhul Qa'dah, 1442 AH.
