Habib Ahmad bin Alawi bin Ali Al-Habashi

Habib Ahmad bin Alawi bin Ali Al-Habashi

He - may Allah be pleased with him - was born in Seiyun in 1339 AH and was raised there under the care of his mother, and his uncle and shaykh, Habib Muhammad bin Ali bin Muhammad Al-Habashi.

His father had traveled to Indonesia while he was still in his mother's womb. Later, there was correspondence between them filled with spiritual aid and longing.

He accompanied - may Allah have mercy on him - a number of shaykhs, notably his uncle Habib Muhammad bin Ali and Habib Abdur Rahman bin Umar bin Hamid As-Saqqaf and many others, especially in the Two Holy Sanctuaries. Their care for him was immense.

He had many social contributions and efforts in serving his people and in facilitating reconciliation among people. He oversaw the printing of the mawlid composed by his grandfather Habib Ali, known as Simt ad-Durar, several times.

It was the will of the Almighty that Habib Ahmad bin Alawi Al-Habashi depart from this world in Indonesia and his noble body be buried next to his father in the region of Solo, Indonesia, and that was in the month of Jumada al-Awwal, 1429 AH.
