The knower of Allah, the renewer, and spiritual nurturer, my master Shaykh Ahmad bin Fathullah Jami’ - may Allah have mercy on him - was shaykh of the Shadhiliyyah Qadiriyyah order. He grew up in a noble family, known for their piety, righteousness, knowledge, courage and helping the distressed.

He was born in 1341 AH / 1920. His father passed away before he reached the age of eight, so he was responsible for raising his siblings. At the age of twenty, he began seriously seeking knowledge, walking both paths of knowledge and purification together, learning jurisprudence, Arabic, and other sciences from his shaykhs. He received the Naqshbandi order from Shaykh Ibrahim Haqqi - may Allah have mercy on him - steadfastly accompanying him for a long period of his life. After his death, Shaykh Ahmad began to search for a spiritual guide, and remained in this quest for seventeen years until Allah guided him to his shaykh Abdul Qadir Isa - may Allah have mercy on him.

He held a keen interest in the path of Ustadh Bediuzzaman Said Nursi and his treatises (Risale-i Nur).

He was attached to the Quran, very compassionate and merciful towards Muslims everywhere, caring about their sufferings and feeling their pains. In his gatherings, he always called to adherence to Allah's law and the Quran and Sunnah, which are the lifeline in this world and the hereafter.

He passed away - may Allah have mercy on him - in the city of Marash, Turkey, succumbing to his illness on a Monday, the 21st of Sha'ban 1444 AH / March 13, 2023.
